Welcome back! Our new term has begun and its lovely to see how quickly all the children have settled in to Class 4. A few gentle reminders and updates to kick off our new term:
Changing Times! We are using The Victorians as our stimulus this term. Loads of fantastic things to get our teeth into from Queen Victoria herself to life on the streets, in factories, up chimneys or anywhere else children could be put! We also have a trip to a Victorian Workhouse to look forward to later this term (November) so take a look at our topic web below for details about what we will be learning!
PE will be on Monday and Thursday afternoons and will continue to have an outdoor feel as we will be doing as much outside as we can (weather permitting). This term we will focus on our fitness, speed and agility and where possible I recommend trainers as plimsolls just wont make the grade for feet for these activities. Please remember to label all PE kit.
Further information will follow regarding homework, spellings, reading targets and (very excited!) our new approach to times tables! Watch out for news on these items.
Music - for year 4 and those in year 5 who are continuing with the brass instrument tuition, this will take place on Tuesday afternoons. More information will follow shortly but I am sure it wont belong before you are admiring the tunes produced by these instruments!
If you feel you have any spare time or experience or expertise in anything we are learning this term please do not hesitate to come in to share it with us. Any help is always gratefully received!
Finally, please come and find me if you have any questions or give the office a ring to pass on a message.
