Here we are at the Summer term already, it doesn't seem that long ago that we were settling in to our new year groups in Class 3! We have a busy an exciting term ahead of us so have a look at our new Topic Web - It's A Wonderful World!- which will give you an idea of some of the things we are going to be learning about this term.
Adventures in the Stone Age at Derby Museum
Class 3 had an enjoyable trip to Derby Museum where we found out lots more about Stone Age Life. We also had a go at making stone age jewellery , sewing pieces of leather together to make clothes , practising cave painting art, using clay to make and decorate Stone Age sun discs and......we learned how to make fire!!! Take a look at the photos and video clips.
Well despite the very changable weather, we are still managing to work very hard and are enjoying finding out more about the world we live in. The Year 2 children have really started to get to grips with their Nativity practices whilst the Y3 children are investigating more about how our world has changed since the Stone Age. Our Geography topic is called Extreme Earth and it certainly has been quite exciting finding out more about earthquakes and volcanoes ( as well as lots of fun too!) Take a look at the following video clip!
